With the fast development of information technology and the coming of post-PC era, the embedded product becomes one of the most important products of IT industry. Meanwhile, plenty of the embedded applications call for better performance and functionality. In industry field, users prefer convenience rather than usefulness nowadays. It's a large challenge for the researchers and programmers of embedded system. They find it is no longer suitable to complete the whole function: GUI, massive data transmission, and control, with a single chip CPU.Under this background, it is discussed in this paper to separate the first two functions from the whole system. Another CPU will deal with GUI and massive data transmission, while the main CPU only takes part in the control function. At the beginning of the paper, background knolege of the system is discussed, and then are the two schemes. Finally both the advantage and the disadvantage of them are shown. The first method, using ATMEL's AT91FR40162 and CYPRESS'S SL811, carries out the function of USB flash disk data transmission file, keyboard input and LCD display. The system communicate with others using a UART port, 250Kbps.Another method makes out the same function with Samsung's S3C2410 and MS's WINCE. Because of the WINCE operation system, it is very easy to carry out pretty GUI and reliable data transmission. And the system takes a touch screen as its input way. This system is developed with Microsoft's EVC.It is proved right to develop embedded products in this way. After some change, the system can be used in a lot of embedded systems.
