Robot soccer is a challenging competition item. Athletic level of the team depends on the robot performance. Because of the rapidly development of science, increasing new applications have been used in the robot soccer game, and provide more choice for robot development. The robot controlled by the center computer has been studied in this paper, the deficiency of the present system has been analyzed, and new main board of robot has been designed. Three aspects are included in the paper:Firstly, the requirement of new robot main board has been studied;the design of the collectivity on the new main board was described. Competition system was investigated and analyzed, contrapose the shortage of the present robot system, such as the communication system is weak in antijamming and the small vehicle current used can not examining itself by automatic, according to the new requirement for the competition system, the new design has been put forward, a robot model with feedback function has been established.Secondly, double key technologies in the design of the robot main board have been studied. The design of the main board based on ZigBee and ARM7 technology has put forward. After analyzed and compared, according to the requirement of wireless communication and control in robot soccer, wireless communication module based on ZigBee technology has been chose, kernel of control is the chip based on the ARM7 technology of Philips Electronics. The new system can not only content the requirement of the present game, and provide a powerful supporting platform for the application of new technology.Thirdly, the key technology in the new design of the main board has been studied. References to the present system, the new main board system has been designed, and function of communication has been achieved, kernel of uCLinux on the new system has been reduced, provide a good base for optimize the design of the main board.Lastly, according to the test experiment of new communication module and reduction of the uCLinux kernel, the scheme of the new robot is feasible. The new system has stable wireless communication system, and realize self-testing and feedback the state of the robot. More work was expounded in the end of the paper.
