With the development of computer technology, embedded system technology and digital processing technology, the instrument of digitalize, intelligentize and miniaturization is more and more popular. The thesis mainly deals with the design of the measuring system of series excited machine which is based on embedded system developing technology. The measuring system use YFDVK-9200-I as its hardware developing platform, embedded Linux operating system as its software developing platform, and minigui as its application software developing tools. The system makes good use of the characteristic of module cuttable of embedded Linux operating system and the rich hardware resource of YFDVK-9200-I, making itself have the biggish advantages on software system volume, economic benefit and processing abilities.The thesis introduces the hardware developing platform, software developing platform and application software developing tools of the system.. It analyzes the series excited machine's operating principle and enduces the fomula about rotational speed and frequency. Through the analysis process of the signal, it enduces the series excited machine's rotational speed eventually. According to the division of the functional module, it takes turns to introduce the design thoughtway of each module and the method to realize in detail and the interrelated principle and arithmetic.
