Based On Legendre Moments Of The Ct And Mri Brain Image Registration

Medical imaging is the most progressive part in medical diagnosing. After the successful section-imaging of the head by Housfield with X-Ray and computer science applied , an array of digital imaging technologies came into establishment, among which X-Ray CT and MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) are their representatives. Since different imaging technology provides varied information about viscera, the combined application of X-Ray and MRI will definitely ground medical diagnosing on more reliable information.This paper first surveys the contemporary studies on medical imaging register and introduces the principles of moments, and then analyses the superiorities of Legendre Moments when applied to imaging register, the principles of the registers of CT and MRI with Legendre Moments applied, its algorithm, and its calculating procedures.
