With the development of the network, distributed computing has become the mainstream of the computing technology undoubtedly. For the sake of information and computational resource, which distributing on the network, can be shared more transparently and effectively, distributed computing middleware has become one of the key techniques that implemented distributed computing. The coexistence of heterogeneous entities in the large scale distributed systems makes it more and more difficult to develop distributed applications. CORBA is a kind of specification made by OMG organization. It is used to solve the heterogeneous problem of system. As an object-oriented middleware, CORBA uses standard interface defined by OMG IDL to carry out transparent alternation between client and server through ORB, a middle broker, which implements actual inter-operation among different software and hardware products, with the characters of across-platform, across-language and across-network. In recent years more and more real-time applications run on distributed systems. However, no distributed real-time application requirement is considered in the current CORBA. It is devoid of support to QoS, real-time programming feature and performance optimization, and has the congenital deficiency in architecture. These limitations of CORBA restrict the application of it in real-time domain. The OMG issues Real-Time CORBA specification for implementing real-time application based on CORBA. In the thesis, study on the Real-Time CORBA in the round.Firstly, the thesis introduces the evolvement of software development and distributed object system. It studies on distributed computing, object model and real-time system. It analyses the applications of real-time system, puts forward the special demand of distributed real-time...
