Along with the progress of computer and network technologies, High Availability Cluster Architecture based on Autonomic Computing has gradually become the mainstream. It not only has high availability, but also reduces cost.The author of this paper took part in the designing and implementing the HA system which realized Autonomic Computing -—- Virtual Operation Environment System, which based on the Cluster, Partition, Policy to achieve the HA and Self-Management. In the process of development, the author deeply studied the system, and then finished the paper.The work is listed in the following:1. The paper analyzes the present demand and the development of Autonomic Computiong, pointing out the meaning of improving availability of Cluster System.2. The paper analyzes and studies the theromatical knowledge of Autonomic Computiong and main technologies relating to it, giving the idea of combination of Cluster Technology, Partition Technology and Policy Technology to realize system-management. By combining the advantages of every technology, it overcomes the limitness of Cluster System and improves the availability of the system.3. In the paper, author studied the theory and application of Autonomic Computing, proposed the scheme to achieve HA and self-jnanageffient and analyzed research aim of system, i.e. the system can dynamically manage resource, self healing, self optimizing according to the business requirements and load information, and self protecting.4. Then we made the system design, including analyzing the function and the architecture. Further, the author described the design and realization of the modules of Virtual Operation Environment system, and mainly studies design and realization of the engine, UIF and GUI module, which mainly developed by herself.Finally, analyses the deficiency of the system and the work in the future.
