UWB (Ultra WideBand) communication system is a new-style wireless communication system. It has the feature of high speed which is easy to provide short distance high –speed wireless transmission,and low power which doesn't interfere with other systems. The difference of two main UWB schemes is if the system has carrier or not.Pulse UWB communication system transfers information by pulses. The performance of multi-access in the pulse communication system has been researched. First, the simulation platform was founded and the Gaussian pulse waveform and Intel channels were adopted. Based on the simulation platform, multi-access feature of the system was analysed. The simulation results also proved it. As a result, the performance graphs are shown. The research can provide reference when designing the user's codes. And the performance of ideal RAKE receiver according to the feature of channel statistics is also given. Based on the research results, the Walsh code is selected as the following design of user codes in MBOK (M-ary binary othgonal keying).OFDM UWB and DS-CDMA UWB communication systems both have carriers. OFDM UWB is the focus in the thesis. According to the project, the pivotal circuit models have been designed and simulated. Including channel estimation model, packet detection model, frame synchronization, and frequency offset estimation and recovery model and so on. The simulation results give the hardware resource consumption and data rate. The results prove the realizability and have good value to the futher design and realization.
