Network Video Surveillance System Based On Face Detection, Target Tracking

This subject is the tackle key project assigned by the science andtechnology bureau of Sichuan Province. The topic is " MPEG4 real-timeaudio and video surveillance system based on web". My role, in theproject, is to develop the application software and study the correlativearithmetic theory in the subject. We adopt DS-400xH video capture cardto develop two sets of the network video surveillance system under bothWindows and Linux operation system. Studying the technology oftracking people in video stream, we put forward one algorithm ofintelligent tracking base on face detection.At present, the prevalence used technologies in the surveillanceare as follows: MPEG-4, Real Time Transport Protocol (RTP), motiondetect in the video stream.MPEG-4 introduces the concept of the videos object, supports theimage code based on content effectively, offer the effective code fordifferent video source standard form and different video coding rates, inorder to meet the application demands of numerous multimedia,therefore become the mainstream in the form of decompressing of thevideo at present.Real Time Transport Protocol (RTP) is a kind of norm of protocolindependent of application program, a kind of IETF standard protocolused for solving to convey the real-time data packages on IP net.Purpose to develop RTP is to fit the demand of the continuous mediareal-time communication of data of audio and video, offer the ability towork and controlling in coordination in conversation, provide servicefor the data transmission with real-time characteristic.It is an essential function that the motion is detect in thesurveillance, it can enable operator to make a response to accident intime, or as the operator is not waited in the control cabinet, the systemcan report to the police and respond to some incidents automatically.Motion detection belongs to vision analysis in area of "computervision".
