Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) has been developed mostly since the middle of the 20th century ,a new display technology , which have the ability to compete with the LCD display components . It has so many excellent characteristics , such as solid state , forward emitting , high brightness , high contrast , fine thickness , low power consumption , no visual angle limitation and wide operation temperature etc, that OLED deserves the dominative position in the future display productions . Nowadays, OLED display technology has approached the primary demand of the market . But there still many things are needed to be done to perfect both the product techniques and the driver circuits to catch up with LCD's. FED , treated as the flat package version of CRT , is developed much, and becomes more and more focused by all nations. So in this article , firstly , some most useful criterias are introduced . These criterias are also the high-end goal for OLED and FED technology. Secondly , in unit two some basic theories and principles in display are discussed , and in them , for they are useful for calculating some performance variables of OLED and FED . In the final part of this unit , some basic TV display methods are also introduced. Thirdly , in unit three , in order to have good understand and start in OLED and FED driver circuit designation , many techniques in LCD area , which have much relationship with OLED and FED , are introduced. Unit four is the kernel of this article . Here both the dynamic driver methods and the static methods are discussed in details , and at the end of this unit , the static method is pointed out that it fit for the future color and large matrix display purpose mostly. Finally , some important characteristics and FED driver circuit are introduced in unit 5.
