The Robot World Cup is the greatest mobile robot event and the most important international conference on AI and robotics at present. RoboCup consists of both the real robot league and the simulation league. Based on the Soccer Server provided by RoboCup, the main efforts in this paper focus on how to build a simulator team composed of players and coach.Firstly, a brief introduction to RoboCup is presented, including its background, significance, challenges and a survey of previous research based on the study of several world-famous simulator teams.Secondly, this paper expounds the key techniques needed for the team constitution, such as localization methods, communication strategy, vision system design, interface between players and coach. What's more, those problems which is well-studied have been avoided, such as individual skills, defense strategy etc. Finally, coupled with the research on coach model provided by Soccer Server, this paper discusses the design of the offline and online coach, and a design principle on offline coach, a basic framework and several typical training modes is put forward. And this paper makes a research on opponent modeling, plan recognition and heterogeneous player substitution under the help of the online coach.
