The fractal characteristic of clutter and extracting signal from fractal clutter are studied mainly in this dissertation, and the hardware circuit of signal processing system of millimeter wave LFMCW radar is designed and made. The concrete content is the following as:(1) The characteristic of fractal signal is investigated, the fractal signal is simulated by several methods, and the fractal dimension, the one of the most important parameter is estimated, which lay a foundation for fractal clutter modeling.(2) The signal containing fractal noise is whiten and the signal detection method to the signal containing fractal noise is addressed to the LFMCW radar. The simulation result show that the method works well, which provide the theory basic for signal processing of millimeter wave LFMCW radar.(3) The hardware system of digital signal processing is designed with TMS320VC5409 fixed-point DSP, and the independent digital signal processing circuit concluding data conversion from analog to digital, data processing and result display is made. And then control and algorithms is realized by C54x assemble language. At last, the hardware system is debugged and passes test, which provide the technique basic for millimeter wave LFMCW radar research.
