The development of multiphase flow measurement technique is critical to the automatization of oil well exploitation and oil transportation in the oil industry. In this thesis, the use of microwave in multiphase flow measurement has been examined and cross-correlation flux measurement system has been discussed. Using non-invasive microwave sensor, microwave flowmeter has no effect on flowing field and is easy to fix and use, has the advantages of real-time online. The development of digital signal processing technology and CMOS chip make it possible to real-time process. Using Fast Fourier Transform, signal is transformed from time domain to frequency domain to process in order to reduce algorithm complexity. A Differential auto-correlation flux measurement system using microwave technique including design of the algorithm, hardware and software is given in the paper. The hardware design of signal processing adopts DSP and CPLD, which improve the agility of system and make it easy to achieve portable design. The modularized software that is designed can be modified and extended. At the final section, this paper sum up the experience and conclusions and the parts that should be improved.
