This thesis is mainly on "The Research and Design of X-band Microwave Doubler and DDS+PLL Microwave Frequency Source", The doubler converts 100MHz to 9600MHz step by step, DDS( Direct Digital Synthesis) produces all kind of signals, these signals mix with the signals that comes from the PLL(Phase Locked Loop), by this way, we can gain microwave signals.Chapter 1 is a brief introduce on the frequency doubler and the methods of frequency synthesis, theirs development at home and abroad, and the main contents of this thesis.Chapter 2, we design a kind of X-band doubler, introduce a kind of multiple doubler, and that is realized step by step, in this thesis, we adopt 22432 to get microwave output.Chapter 3, the research of DDS basing on AD9852, it introduces the basic theory of DDS, explains the core chip AD9852 in this DDS design, and the key of the circuit design, at last, provides DDS circuit diagram and the photograph of the DDS.Chapter4, the research of PLL frequency source basing on MC12179, MC12179 integrates many functions of PLL, so we put our emphases on reference crystal oscillator and loop filter design.In the design of PLL frequency synthesis, our stress is selecting and designing loop filter. In this thesis, we offer a method of third order loop filter design, at the same time, present the computer simulation.At the end of Chapter 4, we compare the strongpoints and shortcomings of DDS and PLL, In this thesis , we adopt DDS mixes with PLL at the outside of loop, in order to fully make use of their strongpoints, overcome their shortcomings.
