With the application of computer in enterprise, data of these application increase greatly. And with the rising of distributed network, the services of enterprise are distributed on different computer and different OS. Many famous enterprise's services are based on lots data store, and these data can not be lost. So perfect "data backup system" should be welcome.Now the tape is always used for data backup, by this means, the amount of data is limited, and the OS is fixed. When there are not many servers, it should be a economic and effective way. But with the enlarging of enterprise's computer amount, increasing of data, and distributed network, the enterprise has to distribute their service on different computer and different OS. So the current data store by one computer is unsuitable for distributed network, and has many disadvantages. Especially for the ruin of none computer reason, after these ruin the system recover and service base on these data is impossible.According to the distributed network, we design a way of distributed data backup. It can recognize the backup hosts in the distributed network automatically, and analyze the distributed network. Then according to the analyzed result, It refers a mathematic model and divide the data into fragments, then store these fragments on these hosts. By the means, It implements the distribute data backup. To improve the efficiency and performance, successful model is very important. It is the key of the system.The dissertation introduces the situation of data backup. According to the distributed network, we propose the analyzing way of mathematic model, then analyze and discuss the model. After it, we explain the Multicast File Transfer Protocol (MFTP), which is suitable for the model, and the MFTP can transfer data quickly and reliable by multicast. Meanwhile according to it's weakness in security, we desing the Prime Encryption Arithmetic Applied to Multicast to improve its security. At last, we provide the performance of the Arithmetic, and the works to be complemented are given.
