Digital Watermark is a segment of code embedded into a Host Signal with its robustness, security and imperceptibility. In digital broadcast systems, digital watermark play an important role in copyright protection, prohibit of unauthorized copy, tracing products distribution and also data integrity verification.Concerning the usage of watermarks in digital broadcast systems, this paper firstly studied a sinusoidal pattern based spread spectrum watermark beginning with its mechanism, its embedding and detection process and also its performance specifications. Studies on the robustness against MPEG-I and additive Gaussian Noise of this watermark algorithm are also presented. Secondly, the mechanism of MPEG-I Psychoacoustic Model is also introduced and based on the analysis of that, the mechanism of Differential Energy Watermark (DEW for short) and the performance specifications of pseudo-random sequences; we presented a new audio DEW watermark algorithm. Analysis on these two algorithms showed that these watermark algorithms are robust watermark algorithms.In the end, we give our schemes of applications of these watermark algorithms in digital broadcast systems.
