Inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging involves stationary radar viewing moving targets. It has the ability to acquire the imaging of the targets over a long distance under all weather conditions. In fact imaging is an important breakthrough in the fields of modern radar technique. It is very important to not only military but also civilian use.The main work of this dissertation is focused on motion compensation and radar imaging with wide angle based on the experimental data recorded by our country. The content of this dissertation is summarized as following:1. First gives a brief historical perspective of radar imaging. Then ,review main achievements.2. Introduce the basic concepts of Motion compensation., then we give a detailed research on the two steps of the Motion compensation-range alignment and phase compensation respectively.3. studies the principles of range-doppler radar imaging, and give some simulation results.4. make a detailed research on the phenomena of the scatter migration through range cell ,presents the polar-format interpolation processing to improve the imaging quality of ISAR.5. summarizes the whole dissertation and points out some important problems remaining to be solved.
