Process Statement English Computer-aided Translation System Key Technology Research

Technology document should be understood by foreign engineers with the development of global manufacturing and agile manufacturing, so there is a demand that the Chinese version of technology document must be translated into English version.Traditional translation by human has the disadvantage of long period and high cost, and Chinese-English Machine Translation software can't meet the need of translation for technology document at the present time, so it is necessary to research the technique of machine translation for technology document.In this paper, the author researches the key technologies concerned with Chinese-English Computer-Aided Translation System for aircraft manufacturing technology.After analyzing and summarizing the characteristics of technology sentence, Translation Memory is selected as the core of technology translation system in the paper, some key technologies, including word segmentation, similarity computation, alignment, English sentence construction and the design of bilingual dictionary, example corpus, sub-trunk gallery, are deeply studied. Applying these theories, combined with the requirement of Chengdu Aircraft Company, the author developed a Chinese-English Translation System for technology document, and the system was applied in the company successfully.
