Since the soaring development of Optical Communicaton technology,Optical Splitter applied for Optical Communicaton,with high gain,low loss,and low cost,has drawn more and more researchers' attentions.Especially in DWDM(wavelength division multiplexed system) area,Optical Splitter(Optical Combiner) has been applied universally.In this Paper,the foundamental principles of FD_BPM(Finite-Difference Beam Propagation Method) used to simulate and calculate the process of beam propagation is first introduced. Then,the theory of boundary condition is carefully presented.Based on those theories mentioned above, a new kind of FD_BPM arithmetic is brought forward.Compared with the traditional arithmetic,this one has much more advantages.In virtue of the new arithmetic,author accomplished the whole simulating designs with two kinds of Optical Splitter(Stright Y-Junction Optical Splitter and Sine-Type Optical Splitter),including propagation field simulating,vital parameter calculating, acquired some optimized waveguide parameters,and finished the template by those results at last.After that,this paper briefly introduced the Optical splitter's characteristics of amplication by calculate a uniformly widen three energy level ratio equation and transmission equation.Since providing these theories and results,this paper began to discuss on the material characteristic and the whole craft process in short.At the end of this paper,Some testing schemes are designed delicately and researched carefully.There are some parameters including the number of the mode,splitteing ratio,loss and gain needed to be tested.At the same time,Any possible problems are anticipated and the follow settlements are also given.By all those researchs above ,the paper drow some valuable conclusions eventually.
