With the continuous development of science and technology, test in various modernized assembly system design, production and verification has becoming more and more important in recent years. Test program system (IPS) in an Automatic Test System (ATS) and its development and runtime environment occupies the leading function. Therefore in China, independent research and development of TPS development and runtime environment is in much demand.This essay first gives an introduction to the ATS basic structures and the history and present situation of its development. Then the author illustrates the TPS structures with different examples. The author offers the main technical circuitry of the independent research and development of the TPS development and runtime environment by analyzing the three foreign development and runtime environment. Then the author analyzed and made some research on the fundamental theories and methods of the standard frame (namely the ABBET standard) of object-oriented technology, and Automatic Test System based on the object-oriented technology.On the basis of the theoretical research, the author offers an overall frame of the TPS development and runtime environment through the analysis of the demand of the TPS development and runtime environment. The frame divided system into TPS software development platform and test software runtime environment. Based on the system frame under the ABBET standard, the frame supports the object-oriented technology and visual programming technology and uses the relevant standards of VPP and IVI appliances drive at the bottom. The TPS software development adopts the visual programming environment. It supports the source code of programming languages C and ATLAS, generating tool of the files of built-in test, flowchart, and test diagram. It also supports the simulation. The essay offers the detailed design of the TPS software development platform.Finally, the essay has some research and analysis, and offers the initial solution to the three key technologies of TPS development platform: visual programming environment, automatic flow chart and the ATLAS桟 converter.
