Middleware is wildely used for the integration of differnet applications or systems. This article is investigation of middleware in the environment of Internet, it provides the architecture of XML orentinted middleware applied for web service. This middleware can be used in Online Transaction Process and the Enterprise Application Integration. It is called BizWare.Conventional OLTP system employs Host/Terminal model. User needs to commit transaction by telnet, server receives the request and calls applications to handle the request then it sends the result back to user. The limitation of this model lies in the special user interface and also the inconvenience of EAI. With the booming of Internet, Broweer/Server model replaces Client/Server model steply, Internet Explorer is a representative thin client and widely used in Internet, So there is demand of merging OLTP system with Internet technology.BizWare receives XML requests from Internet, it transforms XML request to which required by OLTP system, after transforming the response returned by OLTP system to XML response, it feedbacks to Internet user. There is an application level communication protocol based on TCP/IP through which BizWare communicates with OLTP system. With the help of BizWare, OLTP system owns Internet access with smoothness transition ?its application need not to be changed.Another function of BizWare is message delivery, which benefit communication between different application servers. Thus BizWare serves to EAI.
