Modern American And Information Resource Development And Countermeasures

Today, techniques in Computer, Communication, Acoustics and Optics, Multimedia and other related information techniques develop rapidly and have applied to the production, manufacture, storage, search, transfer and utilization of information. Information resources have the characteristics of digitalization, networking and electroniclization, which are the key characteristics of modern information resources.After concluding the conception, characteristics and types of information resources, this paper expatiates the conception, types and development of modern information resources, and compares the development of key elements and extending elements(including database resources, human resources, technique resources and digital library resources as general websites) of modern information resources between China and United States. Through this comparing research, this paper presents some suggestions on expediting the development and utilization of modern information resources in China from three aspects.
