With the rapid development of the computing and micro-electronic technology in the past few decades, especially the incorporation of the micro-computer and measuring instruments, a new generation of automatic testing systems has been created. These can automatically carry out measurements of certain electronic parameters, measuring scale selection, data recording and processing, data transfer, error correction, self- inspection and self-calibration, failure diagnosis, online testing, etc. This has not only changed some of the traditional measuring concepts but also been a major stimulator in the development of measuring and other related technologies.This paper is a preliminary research on the realization of automatic control and the testing of the aeronautic ground testing equipments based on personal experience and factory practices. The theory of this paper is base on the electronic testing technology theory, the composition of an automatic control system and control theory of standard measuring instruments; The appropriate testing method is chosen based on the work principles of the aeronautic ground testing equipments. The testing items and standard measuring instruments are selected according to the requirements; The testing system hardware platform is connected in accordance with GPIB constitution, bus structure, interface functions and remote control theory; The instrument drive program is chosen based on the used standard measuring instruments. The aeronautic ground testing equipment software is programmed in accordance with the visual program requirements of HP VEE applications; The automatic testing system is connected and adjusted to reach harmonious operation. The testing report is printed as required based on the testing results; The interference and interference prohibition technology is adopted to minimize interference to the system; The measured error of the system is analyzed and calibration is executed to reduce this error.After running this system, we can find that it not only can reduce the manual labor and improve the test data's accuracy, but also can get the test result on line and this result is very reliable.
