Dvd Video Decoder To Achieve Error Masking Algorithm

With the development of computer, digital film is popular. Compared with the VCD, It relates closely to many advanced technologies such as digital signal processing, video compression and network. It represents a brand new concept of data storage and manipulation.Because of the damage of Disc, and the error occurring in network, the media stream is send to video decoder. DVD uses MPEG2, so it is sensitive to error in the stream. Even one bit error will hurt the steam seriously. We analyze error infection to picture and give a practicable method in error detection. The techniques of error control and concealment is necessary to this video encoding and decoding applications. The postprocessing techniques can be applied in any circumstances, it don't depand on overhead of encoding information, so the postprocessing error concealment is diffcult and important to any applications. A inter-frame error concealment algorithm based on motion estimation is proposed in this dissertation, the motion vectors and coding mode can be rebuilt, it can be applied in any frame modes and macroblock modesln intra-frame postprocessing error concealment techniques in this dissertation, interpolating pixel values within a damaged macroblock from its four 1-pixel-wide boundaries and introducing the texture information from its four adjacent blocks can improve the quality of reconstructed image. If the picture with error has not any Motion vector, we cannot use this method. It is very hard and useful work. We compared several method and offer special error concealment based on DCT and special error concealment based on match points.In this thesis, we also give the method of how to build a DVD video decoder.
