Voxel-based Visualization Of People Brain Atlas Key Technologies

A three-dimensional digitized atlas of human brain,which is high precise,high-speed,and easy to be operated,can help us to observe into the complex structure of human brain clearly. Therefore it can be widely used in operation plan,model driven segmentation and neuropathy anatomy teaching.This paper describes some key technology during the developing of a Chinese brain atlas of 3D visualization demo system,which is listed as bellow:1. Algorithm of generating,compressing and storing volume data2. Algorithm of cutting volume data3. Algorithm of making,storing,displaying and hiding brain atlas labels4. Algorithm of medical image registrationThe author has his own idea in all these aspects and had got quite good results in the programming using these algorithms.Finally,a Chinese brain atlas of 3D visualization demo system has been developed based on personal computer and Windows operation system. This demo system provided a graphics user interface for generating,compressing and storing volume data,cutting volume data,making,storing,displaying and hiding brain atlas labels. And also,the generated 2D or 3D objects in the virtual scene can be rotated,moved,and resized freely.
