Biochip technology is widely used in disease diagnostics,drug discovery,and gene expression applications. It has attracted great attentions all over the world. The biochip scan and analysis system scans and analyzes hybridizable signal quickly,parallelly and effectively. Nowadays,the scanner and computer accomplish scanning and image processing of biochip separately,which leads to complex structure,inconvenient operation,large size,high price and unpopularity.Nowadays,embedded system and its related technology are under rapid development. The biochip scan and analysis system utilizes embedded system's high integration,small size,specialty,and reliability to integrate biochip's scan and analysis functions.This paper mainly presents the embedded system software design of the BS AS (Biochip Scan and Analysis System).Chapter 1 provides an overview of biochip technology,embedded system,embedded Linux operating system and embedded GUI system,and treats the significance of developing the BSAS based on embedded system,and proposes the tasks of the research work.Chapter 2,the BSAS requires a lot of operations and processing on scanned images,so the GUI system should provide efficient APIs for image processing. Then it studies the implementation,architecture and characteristic of embedded GUIs based on FrameBuffer,designs testing programs to test several embedded GUI system's performances (stability,efficiency),and finally chooses Qt/Embedded as the development platform of the BSAS.Chapter 3 firstly briefly describes the embedded system hardware architecture,and then enumerates functions of system software. Next it is focused on the embedded system software design of the BSAS. Divides the software into modules and implements the modules respectively. Due to the limited resource of embedded system,the paper proposes an efficient multithread model.Chapter 4 concludes the main research work and prospects future improvement.
