The Compact Range Reflector can supply plane wave within a short distance (which is generally called Far field condition), It has been known for many years that the termination of the surface has limited the extent of the plane wave region or, more significantly, the antenna or scattering body size that can be measured in the compact range. If a simple straight edge is used, the diffracted signal emanating from the edge then interfaces constructively and destructively of the plane wave causing amplitude and phase variations of the field illuminating the test antenna or scattering body. So only the reflector, which is proper designed, can acts as compact range reflector. The high frequency asymptotic method is an efficient tool in dealing with electronic large body. The reflector that will be studied is also electronic large body; the suitability is discussed in this paper.Chapter one is a general introduction of Compact Range System and Compact Range Reflector, and then the question to study and methods to use is put forward. As a comparison, in Chapter two, a parabolic cylinder reflector with a knife-edge is analyzed, the results indicate that cylinder reflector with a knife-edge cannot act as a compact range reflector. In the rest, a detailed approach is worked out to design a parabolic cylinder reflector with a serrated edge, then a result is given. In Chapter three, the time domain of GTD is introduced, in addition, the limitation of the method is disserted. Being an emphasis, in chapter four a super wide compact range reflector is evaluated and appraised. In Appendix one, the devolvement of high frequency methods is reviewed, and the coefficient of Geometrical Theory of Diffraction and Uniform Theory of Diffraction are given out.In Appendix two , some results are listed in graph or curve.
