With the increasing development of telecommunication network and telecommunication service requests, the condition of the Signaling No.7 Network will play a more and more important role in the quality of the whole telecommunication network. Therefore, it is necessary to supervise and pre-control the network in real time. And a compositive network management system is needed to manage the Signaling No.7 Network and local telecommunication network. Based on the principle of No.7 centralized supervising system, as many advanced techniques as possible are adopted in both the hardware and the software system design in Signaling No.7 decoding and data acquisition. The Signaling No.7 decoding and data acquisition hardware design, the Linux kernel mechanism as well as char device driver is discussed in this essay. Intel 80C186, the CPU, makes full use of the system resources. The adoption of advanced Compact PCI make the system more steady and make hot swap possible. Besides data acquisition, the driver software is responsibility for the boards fault diagnose and state switching. Accordance with the standards of Linux char device driver program, this driver program provides some uniform API for software applications. And software application requirements as well as software engineering for the application programs are also presented.With the compositive managements and compositive inspections achieved, the application of this managing system will supervise the Signaling network both high efficiently and in real time. The system has high practical value and referential significance.
