Theoretical Construction Of The Aesthetics Of Contemporary Book Editor

Books are the carrier of science and culture, and they have condensed the quintessence of human wisdom. Prior to 1 980s, practical effect of books, the scientificalness, realness ,and readability of the content were emphasized while the requirements for bing quality , color mixture ,overall arrangement and so on were always neglected. In recent years, book publication in our country has become more and more brand ?new. Not only is the content more inpressive, novel and practical, with the intention of satisfying the readers?learning , extertainment and joyment, but also the harmony and conformation of the layout, the perfect setup, good colour ,and decent mar- gain are emphasized. That is to say, beauty, under the market economy, has became a more and more important. Unfortunately, there exist some weak points about the summary of aes- thetic laws and the theoretical research about book ?editing in our country. Because of lack of the guiding theory, the backward in means of production. and social conceptions, the aesthetic value in editing hasn抰 been fully real- ized. The embodiment of beauty has been regarded as the accesory of book ? editing process, and can only be completed by art editors and technical edi- tors. The work of editing is regarded as a pure technically handled job which has no laws to obey, and even the binding aesthetics is interpreted as a factor only concerned with form binding. For the above reasons, this paper aims to put forward the supposition of structuring the binding aesthetics. By inquiring into the objcet of study. and its content. aesthetic laws and its characteristics, the essence of discipline and its system, the aesthetical psychology and the reasons for structuring it. ?-? this paper aims to structure a basic theoretical form for the binding aesthetics and , meanwhile offer a prospect for the chances and challenges that media diversification of publishing industry, information digitization and modern- ization of means have brought for book ?binding aesthetics. The feasibility study of the book 梕diting aesthetics will be inquired into from the following four aspects: the objective inevitability of structuring the book ?editing aes- thetics, the period urgency for structuring it , the existing condition of study , and the magnificance of structuring it. By expounding the status, the essence of discipline and its system structure of book ?editing aesthetics in aesthetic culture, this paper has put forward the discipline ontology, aesthet- ic subject, aesthetic object ,aesthetic axlology , aesthetic relationship, aesthetic creativity and other theories. From the beauty embodied in editing object, editing manipulation, editing and designing, information procers, editing style and other characteristics that are shown from the editing procedure ,the object of study and main contents are determined ,and thus the ten principles of the book ?editing aesthetics (validity ,praise of kindness ,concision , plen- ty , harmony , queerness, centralization, order, originality, distinction ) and the four major characteristics are concluded (integration between subject and object ; integration between content and form, integration between matter and spirit, integration of truth, kindness and beauty).
