Image Data Compression And Its Application Technology

This paper introduces a system in which scanner scans the original forms and bills, then the BMP file can be got, the file will be stored by software in a considerable number. After this, the BMP file will be edited respectively by database, then by means of the improved international standard JPEG compressing calculation, the BMP inBge data file will be lossæ¢'ompressed and stored in the back server hard disc. Each business terminals can have a long梔istance examination of the compressed data file in back server.After through software decompressing, the terminals can display the examined result. In this paper, the software system employs Delphi language as the development language. In Windows NT platform, the SQL server database can be operated. The whole software system adopts the pattern structure and the programming technique for specific aim, which make the programme interfaces at all levels are clear and convenient to operate. To a certain extent, image data compressing calculation is improved on the basis of the international standard JPEG calculation, in which, the ratio of the image data file compression will be improved greatly. The communication system in this paper adopts Internet TCP/IP protocol, which can transmit the image data file between the server and business terminals through DDN line. The research result presented in this paper has already been used by the mobile communication branch of Cangzhou Electronic Communication Agency.
