Recent years, with the rapid development of the Multiphoton detection technology, it has been widely applied in the area of system to detect the faint fluorescent signal, technique on quantum communication, high energy physics and laser ranging etc. Due to its promising application, exploiting a kind of Multiphoton detection technology is very important. Among the existing Multiphoton detection technology, the photon detection technology based on silicon avalanche photodiode is one of the best choices because of the low power dissipation, easy integration, low dark count rate, small reverse bias and high detection efficiency of silicon avalanche photodiode.The main research content is Multiphoton detection system research based on SIPM. We choose the MicroFB-30035-SMT SIPM of the SensL Company as the core of the photon detection device. The details are as follows:1. The basic working principle of SiPM was analyzed. We briefly introduced the related technical parameters. The characterization breakdown voltage and the temperature relationship equation are deduced. And the overriding noise is analyzed.2. LED narrow pulse Multiphoton generator are designed and implemented, including the function module of frequency division, level conversion, narrow pulse signal generation, LED driver etc. Finally we can output the repetition frequency of 5.8 KHz-3 MHZ LED light pulse signal which pulse width is 5ns.3. The passive and active hybrid avalanche quenching circuit is designed to control the avalanche of quenching time below 10ns base on the research of several avalanches of several common quenching circuits. The pre-amplification electric circuit to amplify the avalanche signals is designed. With the two series magnifying, the output signal as amplified 25 times, which is helpful to the following circuit to detect.4. The camera obscura is designed to hardware manufactured. Build experiment roof to do multi-photons high-speed detection experiments and analyze the experimental results.The experimental results show that the designed LED Multiphoton narrow pulse generator and receiving circuit module can work as expected to achieve the purpose of design with implementing the high-speed Multiphoton detection and providing the solid foundation for the subsequent AD sampling circuit and data analysis of main control unit.
