With the rapid development of Internet, network certainly has become the main dissemination mean of various information resources. However, communicating in such an open environment would no doubt bring growingly huge challenge to information security. Therefore we normally use some traditional technologies such as data transmission encryption, digital watermarking to ensure the security of data transmission. While in recent years, one new hot issue has been raised in information security filed, that is the information hiding technology.In this thesis, the application of IRST (Inter-Relevant Successive Trees Model) in information hiding field would be mainly focused. By applying IRST in information hiding process and then combining with RSA encryption technology, it would definitely improve the whole information hiding process to a higher security level.Four innovation points are introduced as following in this thesis. First, one new digital template algorithm is created and extracted. Second, one reverse search algorithm to find out the longest common string between two separated string is proposed. Third, the thesis also raises one new viewpoint of taking the DPS as the digit watermark. Last, we have deeper research on security intensity of information hiding system and suggest taking methods such as text-library, dynamically-index-creation for improvement.This thesis also puts its research result into practice and builds up one text information hiding system which mainly combines several technologies such as information hiding technology, text generation control technology, RSA encryption technology and random digital template technology tightly with the advantage of high security, strong robustness, excellent invisibility, large amount of hiding information, and strong controllability. Thanks to the randomness of the digital template as well as the protection of the encryption technology, this system definitely has adequate security.In brief, the information hiding research based on IRST data indexing algorithm is certainly of incalculable practical significance today.
