With the development of multimedia and network techniques, more and more digital media products transfer the information through the nets. When it is convenient for the people to acquire and communicate information, because the multimedia products can be easily copy and duplicate, hidden danger of information followed. It is demanded to prompt solution how to adopt corresponding measures to protect the copyright; how to prove the correctness and completeness of the products what users received. With this background knowledge, as an effective means of multimedia copyright protection and information safe maintenance, robustness digital watermarking technology has become a hotspot of study in the field of information processing.Among the many types of multimedia products, the transmission and copy of document images are easier, but in many cases often document images have higher value than natural images, sound, video, etc. In view of the unique characteristics of document images, many algorithms for digital image watermarking can not be applicable for document images. Considering digital watermarking algorithms for document images, there are not many, lower robustness.As such, this article first introduces the basic conception, characteristic and trends of digital watermarking and enables readers to have an overall understanding of digital watermarking basic knowledge; several digital watermarking algorithms what can be able to apply to binary images are introduced;then analyzing document features, using text block mark algorithm to determine the location of document region, comparing and calcul- ating the feature index document images, the feature of texture spectrum is focused on, introducing the concept of texture spectrum and zero watermark in detail; using the texture spectrum histogram as zero watermark of binary document images, and a new method for construct and detection zero watermark are proposed; finally, the experimental results and analysis indicated that the algorithm is robust to image clip, noise pollution and Image rotation and so on.The algorithm is based on texture spectrum feature of document images and uses a scheme based on zero-watermark. The watermarked images generated by this algorithm and image quality have excellent performance. The monitoring precision of watermark algorithm can be further advanced by means of layout analysis.In today's society more and more advanced, the role of document images have gained increasing importance as a specially image tool. So it's a research orientation of great potential. With people's emphasis of document image digital watermarking, there is a brighter prospect.
