Handwritten calligraphy is one of the master art forms of Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese culture. Nowadays, however, few people practice handwriting in their daily life, let alone calligraphy. So this thesis proposes an automatic method to generate calligraphy, with the expectation that it may help rekindle interest in traditional Chinese calligraphy in the digital age. For Instance, when someone needs calligraphic writing for decoration, such as on walls, clothes, gifts, monuments, statues, or personalized communications, automatically generated calligraphy would provide a clear alternative to mass-produced characters.This thesis is a particular case of above purpose, that is we aim at exploring an automatic algorithm that can generate Chinese calligraphy by quantitatively representing the characteristics of personal handwriting acquired from learning examples and its implementation.By utilizing of corresponding domain knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Graphics, our thesis applies Synthesis Reasoning Model as underlying methodology to tutoring the design of original algorithm , and also inspired by the recent domestic and foreign research results in this field, designs a light-weighted and efficient algorithm of"Automatic Generation of Chinese Calligraphic Writings with Style Imitation"that merging with improvent and innovation on original algorithm, specifically, it combining On-line and Off-line processing, with the capability of achieving sort of optimization on"CPU Computing"and"Memory Usage"parts.At last, our thesis applies Object-Oriented Progamming method to implement this intelligent system that suitable for running on ordinary PC in Microsoft Windows environment. And give its final running test results and corresponding discussing.This thesis wishes contribute something trival and valuable for Chinese calligraphy's conservation and innovation through researching and exploring effort.
