In this text, from the viewpoint of software engineering, it is made a thorough analysis of needs of current power plant informationization background and development, and proposed programmed management information system. Considering the current domestic production plant operation, the scientific management of the actual situation, the system characteristics and fully reflecting the characteristics of network and intelligent design, a set of low cost, high output, high scientific and technological content of large-scale management information system is made of. It can solve various aspects of management of power enterprises and make it advanced, normalization, systematization, automation. Based on new technologies and new methods of MIS, the design, the development, the implementation is described in detail and discusses the practical application of the system and the improvement suggestions.The system architecture can be divided into three levels: hardware platform, system software platform and application system. Hardware platform is the base for system operation, the system software platform is used to support the realization of the function of the application system, and application system is realized by each part of the application software component function. In order to build a set of advanced technology, high quality of comprehensive management information system, it is adopted the .NET framework, using SQL SERVER backend database management, outstanding B/S structure. After construction of system, it will be a clear system structure based on middleware application system.From the hardware and software platform, safety is the first consideration. Users can only access files service system through IE store files, and it can only allow asp.net machine account completely control. To establish a network security measures, it ensure the safety of storage. Software platform is using the latest version of the international system software and operation systems. It is a good foundation for safe and reliable operation of the system and for the module function established.The system application in power plants is around two main production and operation. Functionally, it is divided into six sub-systems: equipment asset management, safety production management, project management, business administration management and comprehensive query, system maintenance. First, as the core of operation management, equipment management, administration management, it is established the basic system. Secondly, business management contains the contract management, materials management, fuel management. At the same time, to provide basic management of office management, office automation management and personnel file management is improved efficiency, The website is the integrated system with inquires system maintenance. Finally, this system can form complete decision support functions, complete with integration of information for the purpose of MIS.
