Zuofu People's Livelihood, Staff Education Research

Lu Zuofu(1892-1952) was bom in Hechuan,Sichuan Province.He was a remarkable industrialist in modern China.As the founder of Minsheng Corporation,Lu Zuofu was known as the 'King-Shipper' in and out of China.The late Chairman Mao Zedong spoke highly of Lu Zuofu and called him 'one of the four great persons who will be remembered forever for their contribution to the foundation of modern Chinese industry'.More than just a successful industrialist,Lu Zuofu was also known as a famous educationalist for his important contributions to the modern education in China.In Lu Zhou,Chengdu and Beibei of Sichuan Province,Lu Zuofu carried out a couple of significant educational practices.After the Minsheng Corporation was found,Lu Zuofu conducted a movement of 'making the Corporation a school',which not only pushed the development of the corporation by improving employees' professional skills and abilities,but also contributed to the regional and national modernization ultimately.A study on Minsheng Corporation's professional education practice will be a useful addition to the overall research of Lu Zufou's educational practice and,provide some experiences for the enterprises in present time to overcome the ongoing global financial crisis in terms of employees' professional education.The paper consists of 6 parts in all:To begin with,the paper justifies the reasons and the signification of this research,and reviews the results achieved already by others in this field.In the first part,the paper briefly reviews Lu Zuofu's biography and his practices in education, and describes the establishment and development of Minsheng Corporation.In the second part,the paper gives the reasons of performing employees' training,and makes a systematical analysis of the purpose,content and implement of professional education.In the third part,the paper analyses the reason of Lu Zuofu's successful professional education with contrast to the professional education of The Rong Corporation to prove Lu Zuofu's distinguishing feature in professional education,namely 'Making the Corporation a School',stressing the effect of example,establishing the core value of the corporate culture,and so on.In the fourth part,the paper first makes a brief evaluation of the situation and problems of employees' professional education in present time,and then tades a full summary of the successful experience of Minsheng Corporation's professional education,and finally puts forward some references,e.g.,a systematical professional education can successfully pull the enterprises out of the crisis,professional education must improve employee's professional abilities and professional ethics as well,enterprises should build the core values of their corporate culture,enterprises needs to set up systematical management system of professional education,and so on.At the end,the paper,in reviewing the historical background of the modernization in China, attributes the value of the professional education in Minsheng Corporation to Lu Zuofu's professional education strategies,which achieve a unity of history and reality.
