Taijiquan is China's traditional exercise of keeping health which has been loved and learned by different classes of people. This paper drew following conclusions by studying the body composition and the change of heart rate of 39 beginners and 26 high-level practitioners.1. Through a semester of learning Taijiquan (90 minutes per time, in total 16-18 times), the college students' ability of practicing Taijiquan can achieve primary level. Through the detection of In body 3.0, produced by South Korea, we have found that body compositions' condition of high-level practitioners is significantly better than that of beginners, and the physical development of high-level practitioners is more balanced, and high-level practitioners' figure is more beautiful.2. Through Polar Heart Rate Table measurement, the heart rate of college student practitioner, who practices Taijiquan once a time, is pictured as "几" . Such graphics can clearly show the practitioners' heart rate changes at different times. And people find that Taijiquan is a moderate sports game for the college student3. During the teaching with the help of HR point map, beginners can understand Taijiquan more intuitively and materially, and know the changing of their heart rate when practicing Taijiquan. They can also get all-round comprehension of Taijiquan and find their own inadequacies and which aspect they should pay attention to.4. As for Routine-type sports, if it is based on the safety heart rate formula and the known stable heart rate, experimenters, with help of reverse calculation, can learn what kind of people are fit for Taijiquan and obtain the heart rate during practice.The purpose of this study is to provide the scientific theory for those college students who will choose Taijiquan as their means of physical exercise, and prepare for their lifetime physical training project when they leave the campus, and provide data for graphic teaching of Taijiquan.
