High-level Research University Organizational Structure And Management Optimization

Along with the arrival of knowledge-based economy and information age, thehigher education development of our country face important opportunity andchallenge, the university has to promote its competition ability, and develop quickly,moderating, keep on. Construction of Research University especially high-levelResearch University can accelerate the creation process of first-grade universities inour country and improve international competitiveness.For the planed management system of past time, the organizational structure hasbeen the biggest impediment of our Researched Universities, and the traditionalResearch University structure has tied and hindered the rapidly development of theResearch University, such as the hierarchical structure is not scientific enough,administrative tendency is very serious, academic grassroots organizational structureis dull and branch's functions is narrow. And on the other hand, the slowlydevelopment of high-level Research University can not meet the internationalizationand Socialization of higher education. All these problems are bound to the rise andfall of China's higher education, bound to the implementation of China's strategy ofrejuvenating the country through science and education. Therefore, the organizationalstructure's reform of China's Research Universities and improving the overallmanagement of the school is becoming the urgent problems for research.In this dissertation, basic theory of organization structure, meaning and functionof organization, evolvement of organization theory and development of organizationstructure form were introduced; evolvement of Research University and high-levelResearch University organization was also introduced. Afterward, combined with thecomparative analysis about China's high-level Research University and Americanhigh-level Research University, the problem in organization structure of the China'shigh-level Research University is summarized, and the initial improvementsassumption is put forward. And then, successful experience of organization structureof California University, Stanford University,Peking University and ZhejiangUniversity was summarized. And the organization structure of Zhejiang University is treated as typical case by using the above initial improvements assumption. Finally,guiding thinking, concept and principle of innovative management of organizationstructure of high-level Research University in our country were put forward.According with this guiding thinking, basic model of organization structure ofhigh-level Research University in our country was established.
