Local Officials Learned From The "learning" To See The Northern Song Dynasty

"Education Document" is a factual account about the education development in the different regions in North-Sung Dynasty. These documents were edited by Fan Zhongyan,Wang Anshi and other 44 politicians , litterateurs and scientists. The content includes the purpose of setting up a school; the environment and the size of the school; the notion and the significance of building the school ... All together 59 documents exist in The Complete Selection of the Articles in Sung Dynasty, which are useful references for the study of the education in North-Sung Dynasty, especially the regional education. My thesis focus on the "Education Document" to analysis the prosperous development of the official schools. My research process can be divided into the following steps: collecting, reading, material arranging and writing. After the study of this task, I learned that Sung Dynasty is the transitional period of Chinese ancient education, and its education level is higher than any other dynasty in the history. The historical truth tells us that high level education can only exists by following the three conditions: firstly the government should carry out some suitable policies; secondly the whole nation should have the idea of developing education; thirdly some advanced educational concepts are needed. Besides, the tradition of respecting teacher and emphasizing study are quite necessary. All these ideas have the great significance to guide our present-day education.
