Combined with quality education, mathematics teaching in the vocational schools is firstly to provide the students with necessary tools and make the students have the ability to learn specialized knowledge. Secondly, on the basis of study in Primary School, it is to further improve the students' mathematical quality (mathematical awareness, mathematical ability, mathematical application and mathematical communication). However, students in vocational schools pay much attention to their specialized courses out of subjective and objective reasoas. On the contrary, they pay less attention to basic courses, including mathematics. The students are not active and interested in mathematics. Some even show that they are allergic to study. According to an investigation, in vocational schools, the percentage of those who are not interested in mathematics has reached 3/4 of all students. Therefore, it is necessary for the research on the cultivation of the students' interest during classroom teaching. To cultivate the students' interest when teaching mathematics, this research puts forward some principles that we should follow, such as teaching students in accordance of their aptitude, following in order and advance step by step, leading the students initiatively, combining direct interest with indirect interest, integrating the students' important role with teachers' guidance. We also put forward the following methods: teachers should base themselves upon the teaching material, deal with the problems smartly, and develop the students' interest skillfully; according to the content that is taught, teachers should create some situations that are novel, suspenseful; by using feelings, teachers should establish harmonious teacher-student relation; by using proper teaching method, teachers should encourage the students to take part in teaching initiatively; the teachers should guide the students to integrate theory with practice; the teachers should continuously create opportunities for the students' success and enhance their confidence. After practicing, we find that students have made progress in many ways, such as their interests, confidence, grade, and activity etc.
