The research on cooperative learning first appeared in America at the beginning of the seventies of the 20th century. After this experts and scholars of all around the world have enriched cooperative learning theory from practice. Now there are perfect theoretical systems of cooperative learning activities based on the traditional classroom environment in terms of the basic theories, organizing methods and tactics, process control and assessment. The development of information technology has brought innovations on instructional models. At the same time it has changed the contents, objectives, tactics and organizational forms of cooperative learning activity. Therefore the traditional cooperative learning theory isn' t applicable for the cooperative learning activities based on the information technology environment.The thesis regards the key elements of cooperative learning as the clue. On the basis of analyzing relevant Chinese and foreign documents and traditional cooperative learning methods and characters of the innovative instructional models, the thesis discusses cooperative learning activities based on the information technology environment from the following three aspects:Firstly, through analyzing and contrasting homogeneity groups with heterogeneous groups, the author puts forward some suggestions on constructing heterogeneous groups basing on students' integrated capability so that to form groups of "positive interdependence" and "individual accountability". The author also discusses how to cultivate students' cooperative skill.Secondly, through analyzing the characters and procedure of innovative instructional models, the author puts forward some suggestions on how to design learning objectives, learning tasks and learning resources of cooperative learning activity, etc.Thirdly, through analyzing of cooperative learning assessment,the author explains the meaning of multiple assessment of cooperative learning, then designs the rubric of self-assessment, peer-assessment and group works.Adhering to the principle of lightenning teachers' burden, the author develops a system to calculate students' heterogeneous score automatically and collect datas of self-assessment and peer assessment.
