Based on the theory of Emotional Intelligence Quotient(EQ) and the speciality of the teaching of ideology and politics, this paper explicit the implication of EQ and the necessity of training students' EQ. And this paper explicit carefully how to training it in the practical teaching of the course of ideology and politics.School education should cultivate not only the students' brain but also their emotional quotient, train them to use their emotion so that they can give scope to the students' initiative and creativeness, self-control, strong-willed and friendly and harmonious relationships so switch their school work and cause to success. Gear the education of emotional quotient to needs of challenge of knowledge economy and taking part in the world competition and to needs of developing of students body in morally intellectually and physically. The teaching of ideology and politics , as the main method of moral education for the middle school students, undertakes the burden of the students' teaching of theory, thought, morality, low and psychology. To train the emotional intelligence quotient of the students in the course of the ideology and politics, the following several aspects should be paid attention to.1 Train student ideal .develop the potensy of curiosity, guide them from the realistic, urged themselves. The bases of training students emotional are on training.2 Cultivate students' self-consciousness, finding real oneself and self-control.3 Training students' strong-willed and help develop the ability of strong-willed creativeness.4 Training students developing good collectivism a good relationships between teachers and students, students and students, will be good at developing students moral and intellectually and physical.5 Cultivating students study method so that they can study in whole life.6 Establishing the estimating system so that we can estimate the students all-round evaluate.
