Our country is the largest tobacco producer and consumer in the world:a third ofthe cigarette production and consumption,tobacco smoke contains more than3940kinds of toxic chemicals,Such as nicotine, tar, carbon monoxide, and radioactiveelements, these toxic substances almost do harm to the health of human bodypotentially. With the widespread popularity of tobacco, according to the statistics,more than300million smokers in our country, there are740million people who aresuffering from the dangers of secondhand smoke. About1million die each year fromtobacco-related diseases, with the improvement of people’s living standard, smokingaffects public health is getting more and more attention of people, So as to takeeffective measures to control smoking has become the focus of the world.Analysis of smokers smoking attitudes and behavior characteristics, help toanalyze the main reason for smokers to smoke, thus to provide reasonable suggestionsfor effective tobacco control policy. This paper uses the data mining method to studyChina’s tobacco smoking attitudes and behavior of consumers and their causes,sample data comes from a random sample of Yunnan, Shandong, Guangxi,Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Beijing, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan andSichuan12provinces of different ages, smoking history, cultural degree, occupationand others, investigating the demand for cigarettes as well as the main cause ofsmoking.The paper mainly uses the correspondence analysis and association rules analysismethod, including analysis of the smoker’s attitude and behavior, the mainconclusions are:(1) the price of teenagers smoking cigarettes is5-10yuan, the priceis relatively low;(2) the ages are30-40, smokers are more focused on the packagingof cigarettes;(3) managers and civil servants will choose the convenient places to buycigarettes and more concerned about the packaging of cigarettes and popularcharacteristics;(4) and the staff will focus on the taste of cigarettes. In addition to thecauses of smokers’ behavior analysis, the following conclusions:(1) the motivation of consumers to purchase cigarettes from five aspects, respectively image charm,interpersonal, unusual and psychological dependence and identity.(2) about50%ofthe smokers believe that smoking helps relieve mood,46.2%believe that smokingmay hide embarrassments and tension in some occasions.Based on the above analysis, we put forward to the corresponding controlstrategies:(1) increasing the reasonable price to effectively control the teenagerssmoking cigarettes;(2) for30to40years old, to take on cigarette packaging indicatesome warnings such as "smoking is harmful to health", from the consciousness torealize the dangers of smoking;(3) for managers and civil servants should set uparound smoke retail store in the company as far as possible(4) for the company staff,ban on cigarette packaging indicating light, mild and soft, low tar and othermisleading words, that will also reduce staff to buy cigarettes.(5) through education,communication, training to promote tobacco production and consumption to thedetriment of the health, economic and environmental consequences of informationconsciousness of the public, so as to achieve control effect.(6) for the film andtelevision, media, advertising, etc. To avoid involving smoking scenes in time andfrequency or try to reduce smoking.
