Mobile Internet Technology In The Tourism Industry In Applied Research

Tourism Industry is one of the best application front fields of Mobile Internet (VII), just like the scene when internet is joined together with tourism closely. In the few years, all kinds of application innovations based on wireless internet technology will spring out and develop quickly. In the long run, Mobile Internet is not only a cheap, most extensive used technology, but also a basic technology that serve publics in modern tourism. To attract the enormous users is the focus of tourism enterprise. So, Mobile Internet will be the necessary tool of modern tourism.Started from information requirement of tourism industry, this paper analyses how mobile internet technology meet the demands of modern tourism , explained and evaluated several key points of MI technology applied in tourism industry. We sum up five application subjects in mobile tourism after we take a SWOT analysis of Mobile Tourism (MT) and an application demand analysis. These application subjects are: interactive information query service, mobile information subscribe service, digital map service, mobile orientation service, mobile payment service, etc. Then, I try to built a mobile-internet-oriented Tourism Information System (M-TIS) based-on-GIS. And we design the system architectures and frames, application platforms, function models in detail. At last, we make some useful conclusions, and predict the future application direction.Although the applications of mobile internet have obtained large success in many aspects, some problems still left to be solved. I believe all these my work in this paper, a good try and will benefit our country tourism services.
