Accession To The Wto Ningxia After Tourism Development Problems And Countermeasures

This thesis,guided by the theories of regional development and sustained development.based on the understanding of both advantages and disadvantages as well as the present difficulties remaining in the development of the tourism in Ningxia after our entering WTO,gives an overall analysis on the favorable opportunities as well as the severe challenges that Ningxia tourism has to encounter in participating in the international competition :and, by comparing and analyzing the areas with advanced tourism,it also emphasizes the feasible developing policies in developing the tourism in Ningxia after entering WTO.Combining the theory with concrete evidence and focusing on both statistic data and comparative analysis are the main structural features of this thesis. Chapter I Introduction : With China's entering WTO and overall opening and development of the tourism as the background,with the WTO agreement as the study contents and by learning the advanced experiences in tourism from the developed areas both from home and abroad, this chapter focuses on the relevant tourist developing policies in Ningxia and summarizes the advices and information on the tourism development of Ningxia from the domestic and foreign experts and scholars as well as the study objectives and approaches of this thesis.Chapter II .Theories of regional development ;The chapter provides basis for the whole article . chapter III, The analysis of the present status of tourism development in Ningxia: This chapter mainly gives a brief summary of the economic geographic environments and the status of tourist resources in Ningxia;gives detailed assessment of the resources of tourist resorts,tourist service,the tourist infrastructure and the tourist source(market)as well; summarizes the characteristic features in the initial slow development of Ningxia;analyzes the influence and benefits of the tourism towards economic development of Ningxia.lt concludes that the tourism development in Ningxia enjoys the resource advantage,regional advantage,and historic and cultural advantages aswell as the preferential-policy advantages:while,the disadvantages remain in the following aspects;weak economic foundation in tourism,backward ideology and conception in tourism management,insufficient tourism professionals,inadequate information,slow consciousness in creating famous trademarks and latestarting and inexperienced in tourism development.lt also points out the difficulties and problems in the tourism developments are the indifferent sense to the tourism industry,lack of funds,short of elaborate works in tourism,insufficient propaganda and inefficient management system.Chapter IV. Opportunities in tourismdevelopment in Ningxia after entering TWO:It summarizes the certain agreements relevant to WTO and opportunities and challenges that China tourism encounters after entering WTO,analyzes the five major opportunities,that is,the constant optimizing development environment, the establishment of modern management system of the tourism enterprises, the unceasing optimization of the tourism economic system reform and the industrial setup and further strengthening of the propaganda as well as the three main challenges.It also emphasizes the intensified market competition, the incompetence of the tourism employees for the competition after entering WTO as well as the impact on the government actions. Chapter V.The comparative analysis of domestic and foreign advanced experience in tourism: By comparing and analyzing the real examples such as the Disney Park and Hong Kong area which is world-known and with advanced tourism,this chapter elaborates the main approaches in enhancing the tourism development in Ningxia by establishing some characteristic parks and enforcing the propaganda work and provides the relevant examples to the tourism development of Ningxia And,finally,by a comparative analysis between Ningxia and Yunan Province,which enjoys a rapid development of its tourism, since both belong to the West of China,it presents some valuable experiences that could be pr...
