A Study On The Protection Of The Rights And Interests Of The Elderly In China From The Perspective Of Marxist Humanism

Every thought has its peculiar historical background and social environment, so does humanistic thought. Humanistic ideas from its production to the development and the Marxists humanistic thought, the main concerns on human has not changed, just with the development of the society, the improvement of productivity level, Marxists humanism pays more attention to common people’s rights including survival and development. Especially in modern times, our party has combined Marxism with China’s specific national conditions, and it leads to a more humanistic thought with Chinese characteristics. The thought stressed that starting from the fundamental interests of the people, paying attention to people’s production and living standard, lightening the burden of people, especially strengthen the protection of vulnerable groups has become the current focus. In modern society, the concept of protecting human rights has deeply rooted into the human mind with a result that a lot of countries have continually rectified their guardian system which embodies the respecting of the independent will of the aged and the maintaining of their basic life demand. Entering into the 21 st century,the silver hair wave has swept across the country. The aging of population has aroused concern from all aspects of the society. According to the statistics, China has stepped into the aging population society as early as 2000. With the improvement of living standard and medical level, the life expectancy of people has greatly increased compared to that before1949. The implementation of strict family planning policy has greatly changed population structure after the 21 st with the proportion of the aged rising continuously. Now the commonly used guardian system in our country can no longer solve the problems brought by the increasing number of the old, therefore such systems related to the aged should be improved. Full text divided into four parts, the first part of the main content are humanistic thought of Marxism and the people-based thought of ancient China. Once again, explaining the significance of Marxists humanistic thought. The second part overview the old people’s rights and interests, introduce the main contents and problems of the elderly rights and interests protection. In the process of problem analysis will introduce the problems of the guardianship.The third part will analyze the causes of the problems.In the fourth part basing on the analysis of the three parts before, proposing some advice to improve the current situation of the elderly.
