By the end of the twentieth century, both domestic and foreign academies had been studying the comparison of poetics between the Asia countries in which China, Japan and Korea are the centers. So they lead the study of poetics to a deeper andwider field. This thesis is an attempt on this domain.The main object of this paper is to try to find the influences of the poetics of Ming dynasty on those of Japan. From the macroscopic and microscopic points, this paper uses the historical comparison method to fully scan and evaluate the academic status and values of the poetics of Ming dynasty and Japan. So it can be concluded that the academic source and the poetry foundation that caused the Japanese poetics to flourish are in China, and mainly in the culture of the poetics of Ming dynasty.This paper is divided into four sections. The first one expatiates the general situation of the poetics of Ming dynasty from the aspects such as the social and cultural background, thetrend of poetry story's creation and its characteristic.The second mainly discusses the characteristic and the trend of poetry story's creation in each developing periods of the Japanese poetics, and also the reason that the poetics of Japan were influenced by the poetics of Ming dynasty.The third dissertates the influence from three-kernel proposition of the classicism theories including pattern theory, temper theory and elegant theory.The fourth dissertates the influence from the three-kernel proposition of the anti-classicism theories including innate quality theory, change theory, newness theory.
