Spleen Twisting Tactics By The Acupuncture Points At Different Frequencies Under The Abdominal Skin Temperature Changes

Purpose: We made this experiment after reading a lot of related reference books and documents about the influences of needling upon the changes of human body temperature. We took needling techniques as constant, acupuncture twist frequency as variable to make the experiment, made acupuncture on Sānyīnjiāo, ti chi of spleen channel with different twist frequency, and measured the temperature changes for Sānyīnjiāo, ti chi, and hypogastrium with thermal infrared imager. The resarch objective is to find out whther the different twist frequiencey can produce different effects in degree, the dose-response relationship between twist frequency and reinforcing and reducing effects of acupuncture, summarize the best twist frequencey of the reinforcing and reducing methods of acupuncture and finally give some evidence for the authority to make operation standard of needling techniques.Method:There are 20 male and female volunteer samples in the age between 19 to 23. They are divided into 7 groups by different twist frequency. The sepecific twsit frequecney is as following: group one: 30/min; group two: 60/min; group three: 90/min; group four: 120/min; group five: 150 and more than 150/min; control group: acupuncture without twisting; blank group: without acupuncture. All the samples got to be operated once and compared the different effects. Take Sānyīnjiāo and ti chi as the studying acupuncture point, measured the body temperature around the acpuncture point and hypogastrium before, at the time of pinprick about 1 to 5 senconds, and during the practice witn interval of 5min, 10min, and 20min with thermal infrared imager. Then analyzed the data with SPSS.Result:The experiment showed that the different twist frenquency had something to do with the temperature of thermal infrared imager, and produced different curable effects. After the experiment, the result was as the following: the temperature rised in group one and two especially in group two; the temperature fell in group four and five especially in group 4, and the result was quite different between thes groups mentioned above and the blank group(p<0.05).The acupuncture with different twist frequecny to Sānyīnjiāo and ti chi of the spleen channel would produce different effects in the temperature around the acupuncture point. The degree of effects generated by twist frequency correspones to the temperature changes of hypogastrium.Conclusion:The acupuncture with different twist frequency to the acupuncture point of Sānyīnjiāo and ti chi could generate different body temperature changes, which corresponded to the degree of effects.
