| Objective:The purpose of this study is to explore the imaging features of the lambdoid suture configuration in the skull frontal computer radioggraphic films of Chinese people whose lambdoid suture are not closed. Establish a technology system of identification using skull suture to meet the needs of forensic practical work. In recent years,terrorist activities happen frequently in the international society and the means of terrorist criminal diverse a lot and the ability of anti-detection are growing. In the investigation of international criminal, a number of terrorists often change their faces by surgery to escape the pursuit or the destruct their fingers to get away from the fingerprints examination.Therefore, a kind of identification technology which is practical and convenience and affected little by external factors will show its unique and important value. "Skull suture" is adopted because of its hidden nature and the high difference.But the technology is not yet carried into deep study.In order to fill this gap and improve the forensic personal identification system, this study was to use computers X ray photography(Computer radiography CR) of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau, Center for forensic tests and identification of the skull samples taken to set up a new identification method using using the CR of the skull suture image configuration. In this study cranial suture observation identification, breaking the previous determination is the use of a simple shape or image than coincidence methods, choice of a more objective and accurate measurement of indicators, quantitative analysis and comparison of individual differences in morphology between the cranial suture, with new and significance. The main purpose of this study is summarized as follows:1 Select and establish targets of identification using the skull frontal computer radioggraphic films of Chinese people whose lambdoid suture are not closed.2 Establish the way of identification using the skull frontal computer radioggraphic films of Chinese people whose lambdoid suture are not closed to meet the needs of forensic practical work, and then apply to the actual security work;3 Establish the database of identification of the skull frontal computer radioggraphic films of Chinese people whose lambdoid suture are not closed;4 Establish the method and conditions of recording of cranial suture for the airport, subway, and security devices.Methods:Select CR films of the skull frontal computer radioggraphic films of Chinese people whose lambdoid suture are not closed in accordance with the criteria.Do the same thing with skull suture in each film:classification,measurement analysis. Select 2 indicators of the length to descript the overall configuration of Lambdoid suture; Select 4 indicators to descript the detail configuration of Lambdoid suture:right lambdoid suture configuration details of the study of the characteristics selected four observed indicators:the right lambdoid suture is divided into 3 sections, each section is measured with the same indicators, including 1 qualitative indicators and 3 quantitative indicators. measure the skull CR tablets using efilm Workstation 2.1 software,Microsoft Office Excel 2003 and SPSS 13.0 statistical software. for statistical and analysis. Measured values of each measure for statistical analysis, combined with shooting taking into account different time and different measurement factors which personnel identification methods such as repeatability and stability of measurement results, the excluded are not suitable for the same recognition and individual identification targets, and then selectr out the indicators which can be used to identify of an individual; calculated identify exactly how these can be used index difference between the observed values of 99%of the reference range (for semi-quantitative indicators, calculate the value of their observations quartile range), set up the method of identification:If the difference between each pair of indicators are available values are in their respective 99%of the reference value, or within the quartile, the two skull CR image data is for the same individual; if at least one difference between the available indicators is not in its 99%of the reference value range, it can not be decided the same.Results:1 the up limit of dD:-0.0110+2.3300×0.1230=0.2756;the low limit of dD:-0.0110-2.3300×0.1230=-0.2976;the low limit of dR2HP:-0.1000+2.3300 X 0.1000=0.1330;the up limit of dD R2HP:-0.1000-2.330X0.1000=-0.3330;the up limit of dR3HI:0.0070+2.3300×x0.3555=0.8353;the low limit of dR3HI:0.0070-2.3300X 0.3555=-0.8213;the up limit of dR3HP:0.1200+2.3300×0.1001=0.3532;the low limit of dR3HP:0.1200-2.3300X 0.1001=-0.1132;The quartile of dR1P is 0;The quartile of dR2P is 0;2 The identified rate of return test is 100%.It has a good effect,and achieve the purpose of the study.Conclusion:1 S,R1A,R1HI,R1HP,R2A,R2HI, these indicators showed non-normal distribution between the different measurements and different time periods. So they can not be be selected for this study;2 R3P,R3A are different between different surveyors.they are significantly affected by subjective factors, so exclude;3D,R2HP,R3HI,R3HP,R1P,R2P, the stability of these indicators is good and less susceptible to surveyors, the time factor of different film and eventually was elected as the identified indicators;4 Establish the way of identification using the skull frontal computer radioggraphic films of Chinese people whose lambdoid suture are not closed to meet the needs of forensic practical work, and then apply to the actual security work;5 Establish the database of identification of the skull frontal computer radioggraphic films of Chinese people whose lambdoid suture are not closed;6 Establish the method and conditions of recording of cranial suture for the airport, subway, and security devices. |
