Objective:To research the effect of head-press method in supine position as complementary treatment on cervical spondylosis.Method:To collect 60 patients who comply with the standard in clinic, and divide them into two groups with 30 patients in each according to the principle of randomized controlled trial. The head-press method in supine position with rotating positioning turning is applied on one group, and the simple rotating positioning turning is applied on the other one. Five times is considered as a course of treatment. Choose the self-made clinical evaluation tables (pain and function motion scores) on the cervical spondylosis with cervical and thoracic small joint disorder as the observation index, and quantize and count the observed results in statistics, and the conclusion comes out.Results:1. The scores of the clinical evaluation tables of cervical and thoracic small joint disorder:The controls before and after the treatment of the two groups shows both two kinds of treatment have good effect (P<0.001). The compare between the scores of two groups before and after the treatment shows there is no obvious diversity (P>0.05), which means the two kinds of manipulations are similar without obvious diversity.2. The neck and up back pain:The controls before and after the treatment of the two groups shows both two kinds of treatment have good effect (P<0.001). But the compare of pain scores between the scores of two groups before and after the treatment shows there is obvious diversity (P<0.05), which means the pain is relieved better in the experimental group.3. Rang of joint motion:The controls before and after the treatment of the two groups shows both two kinds of treatment have good effect (P<0.001). But the compare of pain scores between the scores of two groups before and after the treatment shows there is obvious diversity (P<0.05), which means the range of joint motion is improved better in the experimental group. Conclusion: 1. Both rotating positioning turning with the head-press methods in supine position and the simple rotating positioning turning can correct the cervical and thoracic disorder and relieve the accompanied symptoms.2. The rotating positioning turning with the head-press methods in supine position is better at relieving neck and up back pain than simple rotating positioning turning.3. The rotating positioning turning with the head-press methods in supine position is better at improving range the joint motion (cervical flexion and extension). |
