Ziyinqingre Treatment Of Yin Deficiency Heat Of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Clinical Studies

Purpose: The objective of this study is to compare the curative effect ofIntegrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine (ITCWM)on Systemic lupus Erythematosus (SLE) with Western Medicine (WM). To prove that Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) can add curative effect and reduce the dosage of prednisone.Material and method: A total of 63 female SLE patients were randomlydivided into two groups , the treatment group (33) and control group (30). The control group was treated with prednisone and compound Cyclophosphamide, while the treatment group was treated with Chinese herds on the basis of conventional WM. The therapeutic course was 12 weeks.Results:1. On the aspect of clinical curative effect, the total effective ratio in the treatment group (90. 91%) was significantly higher than that in the control group (83. 33%), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). On the aspect of TCM symptom, the total effective ratio in the treated group (93.94%) was significantly higher than that in the control group (53.33%), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).2. The score of SLE-DAI in both groups were statistical significant difference (P<0.01). The score of SLE-DAI between the treated group and the control group were no significant difference before treatment (P>0.05), and were statistically significant difference after treatment (P<0.05).3. The level of SLEFI in both groups were statistical significant difference (P<0.01). The level of SLEFI between the treated group and the control group were no significant difference before treatment (P>0.05), and were statistically significant difference after treatment (P<0.01).4. The lab's indexes in two groups were obviously improved, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the difference between the treated group and the control group were statistical significant (P<0.05). 5. On the dosage of prednisone, the difference between the treated group and the control group were no significant difference before treatment (P>0.05),and were statistically significant difference after treatment (P<0.01). On the aspect of cutting down the prednisone, the difference between the treated group and the control group were statistically significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion:The results of this study indicate that treating with the method of nourishing Yin clearing heat combining with WM is more effective than WM. ITCWM can effectively increase the clinical curative effect, reduce the score of SLE-DAI and the level of SLEFI, improve the lab's indexes such as C3, ESR, CRP, Anti-ds-DNA ,reduce the dosage of prednisone, benefit for cutting down prednisone , accelerate the speed of reducing prednisone.
